Welcome to "Faculty Rhode to Success!"

The Office for the Advancement of Teaching & Learning (ATL) is excited to debut our new monthly newsletter, "Faculty Rhode to Success". The purpose of our newsletter is to highlight the great work of URI faculty and graduate student instructors and share relevant information about professional development opportunities designed to support and equip all members of the university's instructional community.

The inaugural IEC will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. The conference will bring together URI faculty, with other faculty and practitioners from across Rhode Island, the New England region, and beyond to share and discuss best practice approaches to teaching, learning, faculty development and support in a higher education context. It's time to nominate colleagues for the university's 7th annual Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award!

 

Do you know a colleague who has demonstrated excellence and made a difference in the lives of their students? 

 

All part-time (per course) faculty who have taught at least 1 course since 7/1/23 are eligible. Nominations will be received until 5:00pm on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Reminder: Nominations are still open for the 2024 URI Foundation & Alumni Engagement Excellence Awards. 

 

Do you know someone who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the University and who work exemplifies creativity, excellence, and collaboration? 

 

Four individuals are selected for administrative, scholarly, staff, and teaching excellence. Nominations are due by 4:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2024.
