Let's work together to inspire the eighteen women and three coaches who are heading overseas this summer to train and race in the prestigious Henley Women’s Regatta and Royal Henley Regatta. This trip combines the best of world-class competition, tradition, and history. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for these deserving student-athletes, who will be competing in two eights (eight rowers and one coxswain per boat). We have already secured half of the funds to support the total cost and are working to raise an additional $50,000 to cover the costs associated with sending the team on this trip. Both regattas take place on the Thames River in beautiful Henley-On-Thames, England. The Women’s Regatta is June 21–23, and the Royal Henley Regatta is July 2–7. Every gift, of any size will inspire the team. Here's how yours can help:
URI parent and friend of the program, Diane Sullivan P ’05 is hosting an “English Tea” themed fundraiser at Point Judith Country Club on Sunday, April 28 from 1–3 p.m. for $500 per couple, with all proceeds going to support the team’s trip to England.
